Η Samsung θα διαθέσει ένα private beta του προϊόντος Linux on DeX στις 12 Νοεμβρίου. Το Linux on DeX θα επιτρέψει στους users to open an Ubuntu desktop from the Note 9.
Linux in DeX will only support one version of Ubuntu, (on 16.04 LTS) and will only work on Appliances Note 9 και Tab S4 που διαθέτουν τουλάχιστον 8GB χώρο αποθήκευσης και μνήμη greater than 4GB, according to Samsung. All packages should be compiled for Arm 64.
Samsung claims that the new Linux on DeX interface can be used by developers to work "on the go" and in the case of the Tab S4, it will have a more complete tablet interface.
