Timothy Justen French, a member of the infamous hacking group NullCrew, pleaded guilty to one of the charges against him. The charge involves destroying a protected computer without permission, and thus faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250.000 fine.
Justen French is 21 years old, from Morristown, Tennessee, and was arrested by the FBI on 11 June of 2014 at his family home. Authorities accused him of involvement in cyber attacks against Bell Canada, Comcast, and the Ministry Defense of the United Kingdom, as a member of the NullCrew hacking group.
French was also known in Internet and as “Orbit,” “Orbit_g1rl,” “c0rps3.”, “rootcrysis,” and “crysis”.
Six days after the capture of French, the rest of NullCrew members published a text at Pastebin. NullCrew refer to French as “script kiddie,” because he ignored advice from older members to delete IDS he was using before joining the hacking group.
Obviously, French did not delete the usernames it used before, and continued to use Skype for hacking talks!
Also as if all that wasn't enough, he wasn't using any connection VPN to hide his real IP. According to the statements given by the FBI after his arrest, investigators were able to trace him to the IP address he used to steal data from Bell Canada.
According to the authorities the attack was made by the connection he had in his home!
Our question is why did the older members of the team accept "hackers" like Orbit?
