What stands out this year is the addition of a backup option for mobile devices. By installing a special applications for iOS and Android you can keep a copy of all photos and videos from your devices on disk or in the cloud (eg Dropbox or Google Drive). The Backup Plus Slim comes in at $99.99 for 500GB, $119.99 for 1TB, $179.99 for 2TB and $299.99 for 4TB.
Seagate Backup Plus FAST on the other hand is the first portable 4TB disc which offers twice the speed and capacity of the current market proposals. It has a USB 3.0 port, delivers transfer rates up to 220MB per second and is formatted as RAID 0. It includes, of course, the same backup software with the rest of the Backup Plus series including the portable copy feature.
Backup Plus FAST comes in at $299.99 with 4TB of storage. And the two product categories are available directly from the Seagate website.
