Adobe has just released patches for Flash, trying to fix two critical vulnerabilities security that are freely circulating on the internet after the Hacking Team hack. Bugs can be exploited to hack computers and infect them with malware, so it's a good idea to update your computers right away.
The security bulletin for Adobe Flash Player (APSB15-18) examines the vulnerabilities zero-day (CVE-2.015 – 5122, CVE-2015-5123).
Adobe was forced to update Flash last week because of the zero-day release of the Hacking Team's tools. As you may know Flash, it's often a target of scammers and spies. So there are too many who disagree with the use of this technology.
Adobe updated 11 times Flash since early 2015. Six of these were released with Adobe's regular fix cycle, and all of the rest were released to extra patches for zero-day defects.
As we reported yesterday, Facebook requested a timeline to completely phase out Flash from the social network, while the Firefox με ένα ασυνήθιστο επιθετική βήμα τη Δευτέρα απέκλεισε εντελώς τα plugins Flash από προchoice.
Both Flash updates are particularly important because they fix the targeting of these vulnerabilities that have already arisen, as even Addo admits.
Finally, Adobe will also release updates for Adobe Acrobat and Reader (APSB15-15) to "address critical vulnerabilities that could potentially allow an attacker to gain control of the infected system."
