Shazam recently announced that it will now recognize the song playing in an app while wearing headphones.
It was a feature not supported by Shazam until now. When you were listening to music with headphones, either from the internet or from your storage, Shazam couldn't tell you what song was playing.
Now all you need to do is open the Shazam app, check for it icon of headphones on the home screen to confirm that your headphones are connected, then press the center button to start recognizing the music that is playing.
It supports all music player apps, be it your browser, TikTok or YouTube and. The new update works with both wired and headphones Bluetooth.
In our tests the response time is longer than usual but in the end it worked for us. Listening to one on-line radio we had positive results.
For the record, Shazam was founded in 2002 and acquired by Apple for 400 millions dollars in 2017. The app has more than 300 million monthly users worldwide.
