It was a feature not supported by Shazam until now. When you were listening to music with headphones, either from the internet or from your storage, Shazam couldn't tell you what song was playing.

Now all you need to do is open the Shazam app, check for the headphones icon on the home screen to confirm your headphones are connected, then press the center button to start recognizing music who is playing

It supports all music player apps, be it your browser, TikTok or YouTube and. The new update works with both wired and Bluetooth headsets.

In our tests the response time is longer than usual but in the end it worked for us. Listening to an internet radio we had positive results.

For the record, Shazam was founded in 2002 and was acquired by Apple for $400 million in 2017. The app has more than 300 million monthly users worldwide.
