Their number is estimated to reach 23 million devices in 2015 and 45 million devices by 2017.
The company Fitbit was dominant in the market of basic wearable devices for 2013, since with the Flex and Strength, launched in May and October, respectively, gained market share that reached 58% in the second half of 2013. Follow the UP with 21% market share for the device Jawbone and Nike with 13% for devices Fuelband.

However, its analysis Canalys concludes that although the Samsung has managed to be at the top of the device deliveries to resellers, did not do the same in terms of actual sales. Also, while it appears that manufacturers of "basic" w συσκευών επιτυγχάνουν σημαντικότερο όγκο παραδόσεων, εντούτοις οι «smart» wearable συσκευές δείχνουν να αναπτύσσουν μεγαλύτερη δυναμική. Η Canalys provides that the two categories will gradually start to converge in their technical characteristics.
Finally, the Canalys forecast includes the operating system Android. The research firm considers it crucial for the development of the whole market to develop an integrated ecosystem of accompanying applications. So, the Android is set to make its entry into the field of wearable devices in a more meaningful way.
