Microsoft has just released one new edition of Skype for Linux. The new update brings an experimental app for videos calls, while the company still developing it feature.
Currently, video calls can only be made between Skype for Linux clients, but Microsoft plans to extend support for all systems with the next updates.
"This week, we have something special for you. The team is working hard to bring video calling to Linux and today we have a trial version ready for you. 1-to-1 video calling only works between Skype for Linux clients for now. ” says Microsoft.
Additionally, this new version affects old versions of Skype for Linux, as of today, those older than 1.7 will no longer work, and users will need to information in the latest version.
