Hackers have revealed that there is a security gap (backdoor cuts) which allows trapping of the devices.
An impressive revelation was made at a hacker conference held in Hamburg. As has become known, there is a security gap in telecommunication systems that allows someone with the necessary knowledge and skills to trap a cell phone and listen to the device owner's conversations but also to read the text messages it sends and accepts.
The security flaw was found in a system codenamed SS7, a system used by many of the world's major telecommunications companies (AT&T, Verizon etc.) to route their customers' calls and messages.
A basic one mode of the particular system is to transfer the signal from one antenna to another when the owner of a mobile phone is talking while moving quickly, if for example talking while inside a car. Companies are understandably now looking for ways to immediately find a solution to the problem.
