The Snipping Tool will soon be getting a new one feature where it will enable you to draw rectangles, ovals, lines and arrows on snapshots screen you.
The new plugin is available as a preview in the Dev and Canary channels of Windows 11. Microsoft is not saying when the new Snipping Tool feature will make its way to regular builds.
The new tool is available at version 11.2401.32.0, with which you can open the “Shapes” menu from the toolbar and from the “Outline” tool, select the Colour and the border thickness.
The “Fill” tool allows you to make the shape transparent or filled with a specific color. Finally, you can click on the ready-made shapes: “Square”, “Oval”, “Line” or “Arrow” and draw the shape anywhere on the image.
You can always resize and rotate the shape and change the fill and border settings.
