The Institution of Social Entrepreneurship / Social Business Excellence Awards 2014 was presented today at the event hosted at the National Research Foundation, in the framework of the 2 Conference "Enjoying Always", to be held in November. The awards are first institutionalized in Greece with the main objectives of promoting and rewarding sustainable business plans existing or under the founding of social enterprises in Greece and are an initiative of the British Council and the National Documentation Center, a coordinator of Enterprise Europe Network-Hellas, in cooperation with the Development Partnership ACCESS, and are under the aegis of the Ministry of Development and Competitiveness.
In particular, the prize-giving institution aims at presenting experienced and new social entrepreneurs, rewarding innovative ideas developed for the benefit of society and raising social entrepreneurship as a key pillar for increasing employment and addressing social exclusion.
At the same time, it aims at supporting creative entrepreneurship that combines the production of economic goodwill with measurable social impact and the creation of a network of cooperation and networking among young social entrepreneurs, innovation bodies, institutional bodies, large enterprises in Greece and abroad.

Prize money for prizes is funded by businesses and agencies. The winners will additionally have access to business guidance and support for innovation and extroversion by co-organizers with long-standing experience in the field (British Council, National Documentation Center) and networking with more than one 54 countries worldwide (Enterprise Europe Network-Hellas).
The Prize Evaluation Committee is made up of distinguished faculty from the academic community, private and social entrepreneurship, advisory services, the financial sector and non-profit organizations.

The Social Entrepreneurship Awards can be attended by natural persons or groups of individuals or legal entities of any kind who are active in the field of Social Economy and in various fields including New Information and Communication Technologies, Environment, Seniors and Children Care Services, Culture, Tourism etc.

The results will be announced at the 2nd "Operating Differently" Conference to be held on November 3, 2014 at the Onassis Foundation House of Letters & Arts, with the support of the European Parliament Office in Greece and the European Commission Delegation.
The 1 Social Entrepreneurship Conference on "Social Business as a Development Tool" made 2013 with great success attracting a host of new social (and not) entrepreneurs and scientists. The 2 conference "Talking 2014 Differently" focuses on trends, opportunities and challenges for the development of sustainable social enterprises across a broad range of areas of economic activity.
