After taking off from Hawaii at 6:30 a.m., and after 62 hours of flight, pilot Bertrand Piccard and Solar Impulse 2 successfully landed at Moffett Airfield, California.
Ο "ηλιακός" πιλότος ανέφερε ότι αισθάνθηκε υπέροχα μετά από μια μέρα ταξιδιού.
For those who don't remember the solar plane Solar Impulse 2 is trying to circumnavigate the planet, but it remains grounded 9 months after trip record he managed from Japan to Hawaii.
The new pilot, Andre Borschberg, will take over the next leg of the journey, from California in New York.
From there, they will plan their next destination, based on the weather and what they have learned about the aircraft's behavior as they continue their journey to Abu Dabi, where it first took off in March of 2015.
