Just six months after the launch of A7 and A7r, the Sony extends the range of cameras with interchangeable lenses, introducing A7s, with "s" representing sensitivity.
The new A7s Interchangeable Lenses is the third family camera and Sony, while the first models have emphasized the satisfaction of demanding photographers, with the new addition seeming to emphasize the coverage of the demands of those users who want to receive quality videos as well.
More specifically, A7s incorporates ISO sensitivity from 50 to 409.600, while the two previous models feature ISO to 25.600. Using such an ISO sensitivity level allows the photographer to take quality shots in low light conditions at a faster shutter speed.
In contrast, with ISO sensitivity, A7s has a lower resolution sensor at 12,2 Megapixel, compared to 24,3 and 36,4 Megapixels of A7 and A7s, respectively. However, the feature that primarily concerns those who make quality video footage is the 4K video recording capability.
The A7s also incorporates some more features to improve the video capture features. So the users δεν θα είναι πλέον περιορισμένοι στο AVCHD codec, αλλά θα μπορούν να χρησιμοποιούν και το XAVC.
As far as the rest of its features are concerned, the A7s is outwardly similar to the other cameras in the Alpha series. It supports wireless networking technologies and connections WiFi and NFC, which allow it to connect wirelessly with others Appliances. In addition, it also has the MIS (Multi Interface Shoe), so that the user can connect the adapter kit, XLR-K1M of Sony.
The camera was presented at a Sony press event in Las Vegas, United States. The Alpha A7s price has not been announced, but it is estimated that the camera will be available during the summer months.
