Sony Mobile introduced its new Sony Xperia Z5 series, which includes three new smartphones at the moment: Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is not the first smartphone in the world with 4K display.
According to Sony, the Xperia Z5,5 Premium's 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive display supports a resolution of 2160×3840 pixels and includes TRILUMINOS technology Display.
This particular screen can make upscale to 4K content, videos and photos. The smartphone can also make 4K video recordings, which can be instantly enjoyed on the 5,5 inch screen of the device in their native resolution.
The Xperia Z5 Premium is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, complemented by a unit graphics processor Adreno 430 graphics and 3GB RAM.
The smartphone comes with 32GB storage space, which can be further extended up to 200GB from the microSD card slot.
The rear camera is at 23-megapixel and features a Sony Exmor sensor that can capture 4K videos. It also has LED flash and autofocus. At the front, there is a camera at 5.1-megapixel for selfies and video calls.
It is also worth noting that the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is certified with IP68 (dust and water resistant) and its non-detachable battery is in 3.430 mAh and features Quick Charge 2.0 technology.
We are curious to see how the battery will respond to the 4K screen of the device, as it seems to us that such screens are also very demanding. The company, however, reports that the battery life reaches 2 days.
With the Xperia Z5 you get an innovative battery life of up to two days** on a single charge charging. Μπορείτε να ακούσετε περισσότερη music, να μιλήσετε ατελείωτα και να μείνετε έξω περισσότερο, χωρίς να ανησυχείτε. Όταν κάποια στιγμή χρειαστείτε επιπλέον ενέργεια, το Xperia Z5 διαθέτει δυνατότητες γρήγορης loading and provides you with energy for a whole day in just 45 minutes.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium will be available from early November of 2015 and will cost about 800 €. The smartphone will be available globally, but the Dual-SIM version will only be available in some countries.
