Sony's first 185 TB data storage cassette

Η Sony revealed and presented a tape with a magnetic tape that can store 185 TB, marking a new world record in the data storage sector.

This means that the storage capacity per square inch is 18,5 GB, much higher than the record of 2010 owned by IBM.
For those who want more technical details, surface density of the new cartridge's tape is 148 Gigabits per square inch, due to the nano-grains it contains layer with fine magnetic particles and uniform crystal orientation.
