The error appeared after an update of Sophos security software.
After updating users with computers that ran with Windows 7 άρχισαν να παρατηρούν προβλήματα, καθώς το antivirus αναγνώριζε το αρχείο συστήματος winlogon.exe σαν πιθανώς κακόβουλο λογισμικό. 
The problem was limited to users running 32-bit versions of Windows 7 SP1, according to Sophos.
According to the company, the following message was displayed:
Virus/spyware 'Troj/FarFli-CT' has been detected in “C:\Windows\System32\winlogon.exe”. Cleanup unavailable.
Sophos responded immediately and issued a revised update, along with tips for resolving the problem from Sunday morning.
