Sweden signed the agreements for NASA Artemis (38 countries together with Greece)

Sweden is the newest nation to sign the Artemis Accords (Artemis Accords) of NASA – a series of non-binding bilateral arrangements for the peaceful and responsible exploration of space.

The Agreements reflect principles established in 1967 as part of the Outer Space Treaty to help manage space for international cooperation.

NASA is using the renewed agreement to guide the Artemis program, which aims to send astronauts to the moon for the first time since Apollo 17 in 1972.

In the agency's statement, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson welcomed Sweden to the expanding space club.

"Our nations are working together to discover new secrets in our solar system, and now, we welcome you to a global coalition committed to exploring the skies, transparently, and responsibly for peace," Nelson said.
