SSJ is a small script based on docker, it is recommended for daily use and built for penetration testing and forensics users.
It works with almost native performance (as the containers use the host kernel) and is therefore a slightly better alternative to virtual machines in terms of speed, performance and convenience.
SSJ is a Docker image that uses kalilinux/kali as a base image and installs packages google-chrome, firefox-esr, sublime-text, tmux, kali-linux-large etc. It uses a mirror of kali.download/kali and kali-last-snapshot. It also allows you to run GUI applications like Burpsuite, Wireshark, Ettercap, etc. from the container in daily use, using connection capabilities and – net = host argumen.
This script creates the image and a .desktop file (Application Launcher) for you. So all you have to do is find SSJ in the application menu and click on it to get started. An xfce4 terminal will appear with all the pentesting and infosec tools. Run the burpsuite command to activate the proxy server, firefox to activate the browser and thus, you have access to hundreds of tools and packages available in Kali Linux (especially Kali-linux-large metapackage), in your daily Linux distribution .
