Citing sources from the American company, the site technologys The Verge claims that the Start Menu will return to Windows in August, with a new upgrade which Microsoft will then launch.
The Start Menu first appeared on Windows 95, και έκτοτε συνόδευε κάθε καινούρια version μέχρι τα Windows 8, στα οποία η Microsoft επέλεξε να το αποσύρει. Ωστόσο, αυτή η απόφαση δυσαρέστησε πολλούς χρήστες, αφού έκανε ακόμη πιο δύσκολη την εξοικείωσή τους με το καινούριο λειτουργικό.
Already at the BUILD developer conference, a month ago, Microsoft had confirmed that it would restore the feature to Windows 8, even presenting its form - as the new Start Menu will include "live tiles" from modern user interface.
Though the American company did not reveal at the conference when this feature will return to the computer and tablet displays, The Verge says it will be in August, with an upgrade released at that time.
In fact, through the same upgrade, for the first time, modern UI applications will be able to be displayed on the desktop, each running within its own window.
