The Syrian Electronic Army hackers team is known for Spear Phishing attacks with malicious emails.
the SEA team has been able to modify the DNS registrations of domains ebay.co.uk and paypal.co.uk and distort their websites.
"Paypal is hacked by SEA because they don't allow Syrian citizens to buy products online” the team said in a tweet.
The team said it was purely a cheating act and not to hit user accounts or data.
Soon after the team hit the email account of Paul Whitted, Director of Site Engineering Center on eBay and posted screenshots of internal communications.
Please note that the violations do not pose a risk to the users of the services, as they were made by modifying the DNS of the domains.
