You remember it Silk Road; The Dark Web is an "underground" internet, where you can buy almost anything: drugs, weapons, fake documents or hire killers. Thanks to an IntSights Research Group survey, we know more about the "dark" internet.
The company noticed a group with the name “TeamZero” who was trying to sell licenses (yes, licenses) of a darknet shopping software.
According to Ido Wulkan, an Insights research writer, the software is sold for 4.500 dollars in bitcoin and buyers will have to make major modifications to make it stand out from the others.
The Rise of Platform-as-a-Marketsservice (PaaS) on the darknet should come as no surprise. The shutdown of Silk Road by the US authorities created an incredible void in the market and gave opportunities for new players to try their luck like Ross Ulbricht.
But these new ones are worrying about authorities, for many different reasons.
First, it de-centralizes the market. A fragmented market makes it more difficult to identify markets and illegal sales by the authorities.
It also means that if law enforcement authorities are able to close an illegal market, there will soon be others.
Above all, however, it turns out that the conviction of Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht failed to prevent others from engaging in "sports.
Let's remind that Ulbricht's sentence was not small (a life without a right of appeal) and yet there are still too many markets and soon others will start.
