In Sugar Land, Texas, a city of about 83.000 people, there is a strange art object that has caused people's comments. Just outside the town hall building is a new bronze statue of two girls taking a selfie.
The representatives of Sugar Land say that the sculpture is part of a collection of 10 pieces in total that were donated by a city resident and that the particular art was approved by the citizen commissions. The value of the statue (along with a second one just installed) is estimated to be around $32.500. He even mentions characteristics that it is a sculpture representing a common activity in the square.
The city's inhabitants of course made viral this statue by filling in the social media with Selfie photos with the statue in the background. Of course, there are also critical opinions that consider the statue uninspired and stupid.
