Project Tor announced yesterday 5 February 2016, the immediate availability for Tor Browser 5.5.1, the anonymous web browser for Linux, Mac OSX, and Microsoft Windows platforms
5.5.1's version Tor Browser is a minor maintenance release, but essential for existing users, as it promises to fix a regression in font fingerprinting defense by whitelisting Simplified Chinese font UI for the Windows platform, thus enabling Chinese users to have a working anonymous private program touron the web.
For GNU/Linux and Mac OSX users, Tor Browser 5.5.1 version 5.5.1 adds support for emoticons and for all platforms, and also no longer clears the iframe's window.name, thus improving support for websites based on iframes.
Tor Brwser 5.5.1 is now available for download for GNU / Linux, Mac OSX and Microsoft Windows operating systems from here , but you can also update it installation using the built-in updater.
