Tor Browser 6.0.8 was released with security updates

Tor Project announced the release of the stable Tor Browser 6.0.8 as well as the sixth version of Aplha's forthcoming Tor Browser 6.5.

Ο Tor Browser 6.0.8 comes exactly two weeks after Tor Browser 6.0.7 was released on November 30, 2016 and updates its schedule from its latest versions 45.6.0 ESR ( Support Release) and thus fixes a bunch of important security vulnerabilities that were recently discovered.

Also, the new Tor Browser 6.0.8 supports the latter Tor 0.2.8.11, the Torbutton tool 1.9.5.13, and the HTTPS-Everywhere 5.2.8 for encrypted communications.

Finally it fixes several bugs, including support for using non-HTML and HTML search engine for the DuckDuckGo search plugin, activating the IAT mode for some obfs4 Tor bridges, banner improvements and some fixes for obfs4 bridges.
