Tourists in China's Yunnan province "play wood" at an altitude of 4.680 meters for a selfie at the top of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
According to Mail Online, a group of tourists were filmed fighting over who would get the best selfie spot atop a 4.680m mountain in China.
Shocking footage shows several adults pushing and punching each other at the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain observatory in China's Yunnan province. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is a popular tourist spot.
Fighting reportedly broke out as dozens of tourists tried to climb to the edge of the mountain to get the best selfie photo. In particular, the fight started between a couple and another woman, who was next in line to take a photo at the most extreme point of the observatory.
One of all these tourists reportedly lost his patience and punched the person who was ahead of him in line waiting to get to the spot. Some of the other guests tried to intervene but the fight continued. The rowdy tourists didn't seem to care if anyone tripped and fell off the observation platform.
In the end, the security personnel around the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain intervened and broke up the fight. Police later said the parties involved reconciled.

Selfies: The new risk to public health
According to recent research, selfie-related deaths are a new public health risk, with the most common deaths coming from people falling off cliffs and waterfalls while taking a photo.
And in Greece, such an accident recently occurred in Alexandroupoli on March 15, 2024. Selfie-related injuries and deaths have become a public health concern amid the near-ubiquitous use of smartphones and social media applications.
