Turkey seems to have decided to exclude Wikipedia's online encyclopedia. The watchdog of the country has issued a mandate by citing a law that allows them to block access to sites that are considered as obscene or threatening national security.
Since Wikipedia does not fall into the first category, they will surely mean the second, perhaps because knowledge is a power that the Turkish people should not have, according to government.
it is about a movement which has raised concerns among freedoms and rights groups about the direction in which Turkey is headed. This is not the first time that the Erdogan government has taken measures against freedom of speech and other basic rights. Several journalists were arrested for not reporting what was happening in the country while others were imprisoned for expressing negative opinions about their country's leadership.

Any appeal should be brought before a court within 24 hours and then the judges will need two days to decide whether to impose the exclusion measure or not. Of course, knowing how things work in Turkey, it would be strange if Wikipedia would be accessible to everyone.
