Turn Ubuntu and Linux Mint in Windows 8

Still confusing Ubuntu? Make them look like windows

One of the good features of Linux systems is that they can be customized to your liking. And if you want to play with them or if you still get confused about how they are stacked, you can very easily make them look like Windows.

Turn Ubuntu and Linux Mint in Windows 8

Make Ubuntu or even Linux Mint operating systems look like Windows 8 simply and easily with the help of PPA from noobslab.com.

All you have to do is open one window and give the following commands in order (make sure you have root rights):

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/themes sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/icons sudo
sudo apt-get install win-themes sudo apt-get install win-icons

To enable the above and icons you also need to install an application like GNOME Tweak (you can find it in the repositories under the name gnome-tweak-tool).

That's it! Work with Ubuntu that now resembles Windows 8.
