The Twitter announced today that it has closed more than 125.000 accounts used for ISIS threats or terrorist activity.
"Like most people around the world, we are shocked by the atrocities committed by extremist groups. We condemn the use of Twitter to promote terrorism, and Twitter's rules make it clear that this type of behavior, or any threat of violence, is not allowed on service us," Twitter said in a blog post.
Her effort teamς security Twitter's move comes after Telegram announced that it had blocked 78 channels that had been involved in ISIS activities.
Twitter, for its part, said today that it has raised surveillance teams to deal with users' complaints about terrorist-related activities.
