The Twitter has announced that it is banning the posting of pornographic material inappropriate for minors on the Vine app.
The popular app has been running for about a year and allows users to upload videos durations of six seconds.
So far, users have had no commitment to the content of the videos, resulting in pornographic or inappropriate pornographic phenomena.
Now, Twitter has said that in order to address the problem it forbids the use of specific hashtags, and it also imposes a stricter age policy on Vine users.
Vine's terms of use clearly state: "Pornographic or erotic content is not allowed in the application, even if it is personal video or audiovisual material characterized by its owner as sensitive."
"We have nothing against the publication of pornographic material online. We just do not want to be a source for such content, "says Twitter.
