Ubiquiti, a company that provides networking tools to those who want their Wi-Fi to be completely under their control, told its customers that key account details may have been leaked.
According to an email it sent to users of its devices today, a “third party cloud provider” gave access to an unauthorized user and some of the customer data may have been leaked.
The company clearly states that it has not found evidence that data of its users have been leaked, according to: "it is not certain that the data of users has not been exposed". 
However, it would be good to change your password immediately.
It does not sound as bad as a violation at the moment, but it is annoying to hear from a company that prides itself on watching its users.
The full text of the email, which has been published and in the Ubiquiti forum, states:
We recently became aware of unauthorized access to some of our IT systems hosted by a third party cloud provider. We have no indication that there has been any unauthorized activity with respect to anyone account user.
We do not currently have data showing unauthorized access to databases that host user data, and we cannot be sure that user data has been exposed. This data may include your name, email address and one-way encrypted password in your account (in technical terms, passwords are hashed and salted). The data may also include your address and phone number, if provided.
As a precaution, we recommend that you change your password. We recommend that you also change your password on any website that useste same user ID or password. Finally, we recommend that you enable two-factor authentication on your Ubiquiti accounts if you haven't already.
We apologize and deeply regret any inconvenience this may have caused you. We take the security of your information very seriously and value your continued trust.
