As shown Ubuntu 16.04 LTS will bring them up. And when we say it up, we mean it literally. Unity 7 Launcher changes by adding a feature that many of Ubuntu Unity users want to change.
The announcement was made yesterday from the Unity page developer Marco Trevisan on Google+. THE Canonical finally decided to move the Unity 7 Launcher from the side of the screen to the bottom.
Marco Trevisan mentioned in his quick post that you will need to run a command to move the Unity Launcher to the bottom of the screen. The commands are at the end of the post, but for them to work you should be sure that useste latest update packages to the new operating system.
Move the Unity Launcher down
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Launcher launcher-position Bottom
Move the Unity Launcher to the left
