The first version beta του Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) μόλις κυκλοφόρησε. Όπως αναφέραμε στην πρωινή δημοσίευση οι προγραμματιστές τις διανομής έχουν σταματήσει να προσθέτουν νέα characteristics, and are working on optimizing what they added in the new version. 
The new Ubuntu 16.04 LTS distribution is released via cdimage.ubuntu.com and comes with a new kernel (linux-4.4.0-7.22), which is apparently based on the upstream Linux kernel 4.4.2 LTS (Long Term Support) announced by Greg Kroah-Hartman on February 17, 2016.
Let's say that except from kernel 4.4.2, the new Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) has many other important updates, such as the latest version of the office suite LibreOffice 5.1. Also, the GNOME Software application is installed by default leaving behind the Unity Software Center.
