Ubuntu 23.10 "Mantic Minotaur" has been released. This is a short-term release that will be supported for 9 months. It brings bug fixes and major updates to apps.
We should mention that Ubuntu 24.04 will be released in April 2024 with 5 years of support (long-term support release).
Ubuntu 23.04 runs on a Linux 6.5 kernel, and brings new graphics drivers with Mesa 23.2 (with in-distro access to Mesa's proprietary drivers NVIDIA for those who need them). It updates the tools, toolchains, and programming packages that developers need.

Of course you can always choose the full installation, and remove what you don't like afterwards.
