Wallpaper Creative Contest for Ubuntu GNOME 14.10

Are you an illustrator, photographer or graphic designer? If so you will have the opportunity to contribute to the formation, the and the feeling of it GNOME 14.10 - but only for the next few weeks.

The popular Ubuntu has launched a wallpapers competition for its upcoming release, due in mid-October.

From all the wallpapers to take part in the contest, 10 will be selected. Do you think you have the talent for this? Here's all you need to know.

Rules of Contest

Anyone can enter the Ubuntu GNOME 14.10 Wallpapers contest. You don't need to be an award-winning photographer or have a degree to take part. All it takes is creativity and the know-how to create an image in the right way .

Ten wallpapers will be selected through a public vote, with two backgrounds coming from each of the following 5 categories:

  • Nature (Nature)
  • Architecture
  • Abstract (Abstract)
  • (Imagination)
  • Space (Space)

The UG Wiki mentions that remixes and versions of work by other photographers will be accepted if they are compatible with the license Creative Commons ShareAlike 4.0.

The submission guidelines also state that Wallpapers:

They must not have trademarks, logos or trademarks
They should not use violent, religious or explicit images
They have to "fight with finesse" (eg, using a single focal point)
Beautifully matched with GNOME Shell UI

The original project should have a minimum size resolution 2560 × 1600 pixels.

When you've finished your project, you can upload it to the Flickr pool before 15 August.
