United Nations Internet Governance Forum Hacked, leaked 3.215 user accounts

IGF_LogoThe Task Force @deletesec announced a breach and data leak of one of the United Nations according to a publication of CWN.

The site is Forum on Internet Governance (intgovforum.org) and appears to be registered with Chengetai Masango who is a Program and Technology Manager at the United Nations Secretariat.

The purpose of the website is to support the Secretary-General of the United Nations in carrying out the mandate from the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) regarding the convening of a new forum for multilateral policy dialogue – the Forum on of the Internet (IGF). The website provides an interactive space where all interested parties can express their opinions and exchange ideas.

The breach was announced on twitter and published by defuse.ca. The leak includes 3.215 real usernames, usernames, email addresses and encrypted ς with some of the messages belonging to the government.
