PayPal: Expands vendor protection in Greece

PayPal today announces the extension of the Seller's Protection Program to Greece. This program covers vendors in the event that they have received an unauthorized payment - for example, from an account that has been the victim of a crime - or if and if the buyer claims to have not received the product - in such cases, of the Seller, covers Vendors for the full amount of eligible sales.

Until recently, this program applied in Greece exclusively to material goods. Now it is also applied to services (in areas such as design, , photography, etc.), in tickets (concerts, shows, sports events, etc.), as well as in the travel / tourism industry (, flight or hotel reservations, etc.).PayPal

"I'm really excited about this new pro στις υπηρεσίες μας.

"These changes are an important step in providing sellers with enhanced protection every time they use PayPal. Knowing you're covered if something goes wrong should be a basic requirement for buying and selling on . Μας δίνει ιδιαίτερη χαρά το ότι είμαστε σε θέση να παρουσιάσουμε τους βελτιωμένους αυτούς τρόπους προστασίας συμπληρωματικά με άλλες σημαντικές υπηρεσίες όπως το Πρόγραμμα Προστασίας του Καταναλωτή και η Δωρεάν Επιστροφή Προϊόντων - ως μέρος της in order to increase reliability and trust in e-commerce".

This program helps Greek merchants to sell more securely goods and services to customers not only within Greece but also in other 200 + markets where PayPal operates.

According to a recent survey by Accenture, cross-border e-commerce dominates as a driving force behind B2C trade, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 29.3% from 2014 to 20202. One of the most popular categories of cross-border sales, apart from clothing, is travel (tickets, stays, guided tours, etc.), which even represents 25% of total goods sold, including services.

PayPal hopes that with the expansion of the Seller's Protection Program, Greek merchants will be able to reach new goals and effectively expand their businesses.
