Vivaldi Mail ready after 7 years

Browser maker Vivaldi's email client has finally released version 1.0, seven years after the company was announced.

vivaldi mail

Vivaldi Mail, which features , feed reader and email client, first arrived in technical preview in 2020. A first beta was released last year alongside version 4 of the Chromium-based browser. After another year of fixes, the company announced that the email client is ready.

As before, the app is built into the browser, meaning it's unlikely to appeal to many beyond of the Vivaldi browser.

Activation is simple and can be done from Settings. Just look for the option to activate mail, calendar and feed reader.

Vivaldi has many settings - pleasantly customizable for some and completely confusing for others.

But if you are still looking for a good email program y which doesn't show ads, then try the new app, you might like it.

Supports multiple accounts, sorts messages and creates folders automatically (locally, instead of on a cloud server) and allows search (by creating an offline index).

IMAP and POP3 are supported, making adding accounts relatively easy. The company also claims that users can sign in to their Google Accounts from Mail and Calendar.
