Everything is a Windows search application developed by Voidtools.
The application offers fast file detection (find-as-you-type) and can be started automatically with cmmovement of Windows.
We had the idea for a closer look at the possibilities of the application after the comment of the reader of iGuRu.gr, AlexQx.
the tiny, free εφαρμογή δημιουργεί γρήγορα μια base data folder containing all your folders (not their contents).
Search results as mentioned above appear as you type and those who know can perform advanced searches using wildcards, boolean operators and regular expressions.
Those who do not know what the above is can do regular searches such as "iguru jpg". The search will quickly show you any file starting with "iguru" and ending with "jpg."
You can double-click on any search result and you will see the action you are allowed, such as opening a Word document or playing a video file. Right-click to open the folder, rename it, or perform other actions. You can also move files in search results to other locations, as you would in an Explorer window.
By default, the machine Search Everything runs at system startup and searches the disk where the system is installed. The app also offers search capabilities on FTP/HTTP servers, which are also running a copy of Everything.
This allows you to search for and download files through the Everything Search program installed on the remote server. The choice may sound convenient, but it is quite dangerous for safety if you do not know what you are doing. It is advisable not to enable any of the server functions.
The main executable of the program is Everything.exe and consumes less than one percent CPU, while using about 21 MB of RAM. The installation package generally installs about 24 files.
This means that anyone can run the application, even those who do not have administrator privileges.
