A routine command sequence has caused a 2-degree change in Voyager 2's antenna orientation, preventing the iconic spacecraft from receiving commands or transmitting data back to Earth, NASA announced today. Mission controllers relayed the commands to Voyager 2 on July 21.
Voyager 2, one of two twin probes launched in the 1970s to explore planets outside our solar system, is about 19,9 billionmillions kilometers away from Earth and is constantly moving deeper into interstellar space.
The bug has disrupted the probe's ability to communicate with ground-based antennas operating from Deep Space Network (DSN) and is unable to receive commands from the mission team on Earth, according to the NASA announcement.
A pause in communication is expected to be a pause. Voyager 2 is "scheduled to reorient itself several times each year to keep its antenna pointed at Earth," the space agency said.
This procedure should restore the lost connection and allow normal communications to resume.
The next reset is scheduled for October 15, which is 79 days from now.
Undoubtedly, it will be a difficult 79 days for NASA and the Voyager team. Despite the current communication blackout, the mission team remains confident that Voyager 2 will remain in its planned orbit. Voyager 1, nearly 24 billion kilometers from Earth, "continues to function normally," NASA reports.

Voyager 2 uses a frequency of 2295 MHz (S-band) or 8415 MHz (X-band).

Fruit salad with sanguine
Ingredients
4 large apples
5 pears
5 bananas
5-6 oranges (sanguine)
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 liter of orange juice
1/2 liter of sanguine juice
Ceylon cinnamon (optional)
Cooking instructions
step 1
Wash and clean the fruit.
Cut apples and pears into cubes (last to prevent them from browning)

Cut the bananas into slices
Remove the stems from the strawberries and cut them in half

Clean the sanguine and cut them into 4
step 4
Place the chopped fruit in a large fruit bowl or salad bowl and cover with the orange juice
A little cinnamon sprinkled and ready

Cover with film and refrigerate to freeze
