Siri, Google Now and Cortana. Digital assistants are the new "toy" of today's smartphones and almost every one platform launches its own service.
Technology companies have invested a fortune in evolving and improving digital assistants. Fashion started with Apple's Siri, followed by Google Now, and after Cortana, the Halo-inspired digital assistant from Microsoft.
Cortana though it started last has slowly evolved from a personal assistant designed only for mobile phones to a feature that will soon available in every device which circulates. Microsoft is preparing to bring it to computers, tablets, smartwatches, bands and not only for the Windows platform.
The company is preparing to crack Cortana, soon on Android and iOS devices.
Cortana is one of the main ones characteristics that Microsoft is touting in Windows 10. For the past six months, we've been hearing its feature name almost every day. Microsoft's obsession with it with hundreds of ads and thousands of posts in addition to the brainwashing we've been subjected to makes it clear to us that the company has invested a lot in Cortana.
Google and Apple, on the other hand, do not advertise Google Now and Siri so loudly, though they may have to do so.
Both companies, however, are trying to find ways to compete with Cortana, as we mentioned the feature coming soon on Android and iOS devices.
Thus, advertising with new improved features that will keep users on board is a priority for all companies.
But why so obsessed with a feature that many do not use (eg in Greece).
These features can teach almost everything about the device owner. They basically invade the privacy of anyone who uses them. Cortana or Siri, for example, can know everything about you. They monitor your calls, they know your family, they know your interests, your appointments, they know your routes, they more or less know what every personal assistant knows. Obviously in order to help you…
But the data is stored in the cloud. Of course, the readers of iGuRu.gr know that "traveling" on the internet can not be safe.
They also know that large technology companies are collecting data to exploit them for unknown purposes, regardless of the reason they are accustomed to mention is advertising.
The market domination war is not accidental. After all, everyone knows that for every war that takes place there are causes and reasons. Try to find them in this market domination race…
To help a little we will mention two words "Big Data"
