Waterfox browser is an application by developer Alex Kontos and hopefully reached version 56.2.0 on May 16, 2018. The new version of the browser which is heavily based on the Firefox code and includes security updates, performance improvements and some other changes.
The new version of the Waterfox browser is available through the browser's self-updating system, as well as downloaded to the official site and of course it is free and open source. It initially supports only the English language, but you can add the Greek language of Firefox without any problem.
Waterfox 56.2.0 includes the latest security patches released by Mozilla for the program Firefox web browser. Includes updates listed in MFSA 2018-10 and MFSA 2018-11. You can see him Mozilla Security Advice Website for information about individual patches.
The new version of Waterfox includes a large number of changes. Users who have set the privacy.resistFingerprinting option to "true" will notice that Waterfox disguises itself as Firefox 60, and if it is set to "false" then it looks like Firefox 56.
Also those users who had noticed high CPU usage in Waterfox should see an improvement. Alex Kontos (apparently Greek cattreatments) notes that the "high CPU usage" issue is a thing of the past.
