Web Summit 2015: Facebook is working on technical intelligence

Facebook is working on an artificial intelligence program that can understand what's happening to your photos. Speaking at the conference WebSummit, held in Dublin by 3-5 November 2015, Mike Schroepfer, Facebook's CTO, mentioned a new system developed by his company that understands what happens in photos and translates it into natural-language elements.

As a show she showed the computer a picture of a man doing a skateboard and the computer analyzed it, isolated the man and eventually described in words what is happening in the photo.

Schroepfer stated that “when a computer understands the μιας εικόνας είναι εύκολο να καταλάβει και τις εφαρμογές που συνοδεύονται από αυτές”

Facebook aims to use this technology to help a computer automatically understand what a photo looks like and show you the right photos that match your profile.

It does not seem to be in use at this time this service, but rather it shows it as part of a system that is to investigation for future use to the company.

In another show at Website 2015, Schroepfer showed a prototype application which the same technology but aimed at with vision problems. In this demonstration, they were given a photo in the app, then asked questions using speech and got answers again using speech.
