WhatsApp has reached 500 by millions of users

Facebook reached the milestone of 500 million users in July 2010 and it took a little over six years from the date the social network was launched. At this rate, WhatsApp should reach one billion users faster than Facebook did.

Meanwhile the Federal Trade Commission approved the agreement ex of the company from Facebook earlier this month. Of course, the approval from the international regulatory authorities is still pending.
