WhatsApp users will soon begin to see a new option referring to two-factor authentication.
Its new feature WhatsApp is visible in the latest beta version of the app (2.16.341 dated November 10), and has also been detected in Windows Phone beta.
It is activated through the account settings folder and the application adds a six-digit code to your account that it will ask for every time you install the program on a new device. WhatsApp usually requires you to confirm your phone number with one message text it sends to your device, but the new one code access helps you add an extra layer of security for fraudsters.
The this feature it is only in beta version of the app but it is now considered theme time to come to the official release.
