WhatsApp remains one of the most widely used instant messaging services in the world. The end-to-end encryption offered by the application seems to have been appreciated by too many users.
The ability to easily send and receive money is also a very notable feature of the application.
WhatsApp supports a lot of devices, but this one line that has followed until today is about to change. So owners of older iPhones won't be able to have the app unless they do upgrade to a new version of iOS or, get a new iPhone.
WhatsApp is preparing to stop supporting older versions of operating systems for many different reasons. It is probably a necessary move if it wants to adopt new features that may not work on older versions of operating systems.
There may also be some security gaps and errors which can only be fixed in recent versions of operating systems. Such moves naturally turn some users off.
So the popular app will end support for two of Apple's older versions of iOS, namely iOS 10 and iOS 11. This means that iPhone users will need to be running at least iOS 12 to continue using the app. WhatsApp. But the above change it's not going to happen until October the 22nd.
The application will stop working on some iPhones, especially those released in 2012 and 2013.
IOS 10 and iOS 11 will stop being supported on October 24, 2022.
