Wikileaks released the first batch of thousands of private messages e-mails sent by senior officials of her AKP party Turkeys.
The leak comes in response to purges by President Recep's government Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the country's political, military, and educational scene after last week's coup attempt.
"It should be noted that the messages are used mainly to deal with the world, and not very sensitive internal issues.
"The material was received a week before the coup attempt. However, WikiLeaks published it in response to the crackdown after the government coup. We have verified the material and the source, and it is not connected, in any way, with the coup attempt, to an opposing political party or situation. ”
