Η Microsoft just announced that Office universal apps will be ready this month and will debut alongside Windows 10 on July 29, providing users with a quick way to manage their documents along with installing its new operating system. 
Office universal apps were first introduced by Microsoft in January at a special Windows 10 event, and soon after the presentation, the company released preview versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to develop the applications with help from users who were testing them.
On July 29, these applications will be released from the "preview" tag and will appear in their final form.
Interest is according to Microsoft, that Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote will be available for free from the Windows Store.
At the same time, Microsoft is developing the desktop version of the new Office 2016 (which will be released for a fee), but we do not have more information for this particular version at this time.
