The news comes from Intercept saying that if you encrypted your drive and connected Windows 10 to your Microsoft account, you are not as secure as you think.
Let's see why:

To find out if your key is in the cloud, visit the site and log in to the account linked to your computer at Microsoft. You will then be able to see your account recovery keys.
You can delete these keys, but you should be sure you have backups. Microsoft says it will completely remove your keys from its server immediately after deleting them within a few hours.
If you do not see a recovery key, you either have not encrypted your disk.
