Τα Windows 10 Technical Preview build 10036 they leaked yesterday giving us an idea of what we will see in the upcoming build of Technical Preview released by Microsoft.
Note: we do not recommend updating from informal channels. You should wait until the new Windows Insider Program is released.
An interesting one feature that is part of build 10036 is the ability to download updates from third parties and not just directly from Microsoft as we knew until now. The new feature includes computers from a local network, but also computers connected to the Internet in general.
Its new feature Windows Update is already available in the leaked build 10036 and comes with an option that states "get updates from more than one place." The company says in the description of the new tool "to receive your updates faster."
Basically, with Windows 10, Microsoft implements a technology that works a bit like BitTorrent, and will allow its customers to download updates from other computers that have already taken them either from Microsoft or from other computers.
Of course, users won't be able to choose the computers they want to download the updates to, because the connections πιθανότατα θα δημιουργούνται αυτόματα με base the transfer speed.
While the new tool could be revolutionary as it speeds up the whole process of getting updates, it raises some other security-related questions.
Allowing Microsoft to Computers with Windows 10 to connect with each other, the company opens up new connections that could be exploited by malicious third parties, unless it has taken care of their absolute and very strong encryption.
Whatever it is, sure answers will only be available after the official release of Windows 10 expected in the second half of 2015. RTM is expected to be released during the summer.
