An interesting problem with how to upgrade from Home to Pro:
I plan to buy a new Win 10 Home Laptop, which I want to upgrade to Win 10 Pro.

I have an old laptop that had Win7 Ultimate, which I had upgraded to Win10 pro for free.

If your pc had OEM Windows 7, preinstalled when you bought it and not retail the license can not be transferred to another PC.
