This means that starting today, Microsoft will no longer add new features and characteristics in its new operating system. The entire development team will focus on bug hunting to improve performance before the official release at the end of July.
Russian leaker WZor (once again) reports that Microsoft has opened a new development chapter called winmain_rtm. Of course, we can not know it for sure as there is no confirmation from the company.
But the leak seems to make sense, as Windows going into RTM Escrow development today would be something Microsoft's Gabriel Aul, who is also the head of the proletterof Windows Insider.
Gabriel Aul has already announced earlier this month that the focus of the company will change in bug fixes and performance improvements instead of adding new features.
Considering the fact that we are only a month and a half away from the official release, WZor's report on RTM Escrow does not seem to be far from the truth.
Although Windows 10 has reached RTM Escrow, Microsoft still has new builds on Windows Insider registered, mainly because the company needs more users to look for errors.
Please note that Windows 10 is expected to be released on July 29 for everyone and will be available as a free upgrade for Windows 7 and 8,1 users during the first year of availability.
